Greetings and Welcome to the Chapel Heights United Methodist Church Website!
Thank you for taking the time to look up our Church and view our website. We are in the process of updating all ministries and times. As the newly appointed Pastor to not only Chapel Heights UMC, but, Altoona UMC, I am excited to be here and get to know everyone. YOU are important to the Lord and to us here at the church. Each day is a new day serving the Lord! In the United Methodist Church red Hymnal on page 877 there is a great “Prayer of Thanksgiving”. Prayer: New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen
Today is a new day and God’s love is new for YOU today. Can you imagine that all day long God is working for good in the world. Therefore, we are called to also work for good all day long; in the power of God’s love and grace. Today, serve God and serve your neighbor. Be devoted to the Lord by way of your prayers, your presence at Church, your gifts (both financial and spiritual help), working and serving and be ready to witness to your faith. God has a great plan for your life, Rejoice!
Sincerely, Pastor Jean Waldron
